Dearest Friends, Family, Neighbours and Strangers from ALL parts of Saskatoon,
It is with great excitment that I wish to congratulate Mairin Loewen on her victory in the most recent Ward 7 Bi-election. It was an honor to run my 'quiet' campaign along side such an extremely qualified and visionary candidate, and I look forward to presenting to Councillor Loewen in weeks to come.
As many of you know my venture into the municipal political arena at this time was essentially an opportunity to put my name out there, to learn about the process, to initiate the building of an ongoing campaign, and ALL to prepare myself for the NEXT campaigns. It was never my intent to win, and in fact, as time progressed I almost began to worry that the few votes I was hoping for would effect the outcome. I am glad to see my participation was not at the cost of a fellow visionary candidate, and I would like to thank my close friends and family as well as my NEW friends and family, for your support.
I will be spending the next months planning the more visible campaigns to come, and am looking forward to continued efforts toward the 'ideal', in the hopes of at least acheiving our best.
